Living in Inspirement

October 13, 2021

Welcome! For my entire adult life, I’ve wanted to connect with readers. And now that there are more years behind than ahead, I’m doing it. Doing it inspires me. And, I want you to be inspired too, to live in Inspirement.

Inspirement conjures images of passion, encouragement, energy, creativity, and motivation. I’m not the first to coin the term Inspirement, and I hope I won’t be the last. Let’s have Inspirement planning, Doesn’t that sound like fun?

How can we live our best lives for the rest of our lives? How do we embrace every year, every month, every week, every day, every moment to be filled with limitless opportunity?

We all have “what ifs?” the things that we worry about, that keep us awake at night, that distract us from living in the moment.

We know the obstacles to leading a long and happy life. Physical and financial health are at the top of most people’s list of worries. But we know the obstacles we’ve overcome. We know about adaptation, finding solutions; in short, we know our capacity, our capability. We can worry about the “What If’s” or decide to act “As If” by meeting the challenges of living a full, enriched life.

Let’s challenge ourselves to be better, to be learning, not only giving generously of our time but sharing our wisdom too. And, let’s finally start treating our bodies as if they will need to last forever…because they do. Let’s start doing. After all, if not now, when?

The Regret Series

In the family-saga tradition, The Regret Series tells the stories of WLW characters living in the decades between the 1980s anti-gay, anti-lesbian Reagan era, to the growing Women’s Rights Movement of the 1990s, to the tantalizing possibility of queer equality of the 2010s.
